From 1988 to 1996, Layla Resources worked on a wide range of environmental issues and areas, focused mainly on Germany and Hungary, with the key areas covered being:-
- Platinum Lake Technology Inc. This Canadian start-up was trying to commercialise a process to recycle catalytic convertors (grading 10 - 70 oz/t Pt).
- Bioseparation Ltd. This UK start-up was trying to commercialise a process using magnetotactic bacteria to extract Heavy Metals (Cd, Pt) from refinery waste-water.
- Bardon plc. This UK aggregates producer was looking for suitable acquisitions in East Germany.
- Centurion Mining plc. This UK mining finance house wished to purchase the Hungarian State Marble Company.
- East European Trade and Development Ltd. This UK investment bank was advising the Czechoslovak Government on privatisation.
- Trischler und Partner GmbH. This German environmental consultancy was involved in the Lower Saxony Rustungsaltlastung project (over 300 Second World War munitions sites requiring environmental assessment).
- Trischler und Partner GmbH. Interpretation of environmental hazards associated with a WW2 Mustard Gas factory in East Germany.
- Umweltamt Rostock-Warnemunde. This Environmental Agency needed to prepare an inventory of WW2 environmental damage.
- English Client - Digitising maps for Geographical Information System (GIS) using Hungarian sub-contractors, assessment of suitable routes for pipelines in Eastern Europe and Germany, using a GIS.
From 1996 to the present, Layla Resources has worked on a variety of Internet and World Wide Web projects including developing the www.ContaminatedLand.co.uk website.
